Founded in 1977 by lawyers and brothers Felice and Ignazio Vaccaro (the latter, currently honorary Judge at the Court of Florence), the Bureau is located in the heart of Florence.
Domestically, the Bureau advises and represents clients in all major areas of law (civil, administrative, criminal) before all Italian courts (including Corte di Cassazione, Consiglio di Stato and Constitutional Court), as well as in domestic arbitration and mediation (voluntary and mandatory) proceedings.
Next to a solid reputation in handling complex cases of Italian administrative law, the Bureau is highly regarded for its longstanding in-depth all-round expertise and practice in media, communication and broadcasting disputes, and its counsels have taken part to landmark cases since the 1980s, at both domestic and EU level (including the Italian Constitutional Court and the Court of Justice of the European Union), contributing to specific developments of the jurisprudence on freedom of thought and speech, pluralism and media concentrations.
The Bureau has also become known over the last decade for its specialized practice of law in cross-border broadcasting disputes (Italy-France, Italy-Slovenia, Italy-Croatia), international law (public and investment), and international arbitration (commercial and investment).
The Firm shares close links with law professionals and academics in all major urban centers in the country (in particular, Rome, Milan, Venice and Trieste), as well as in numerous foreign jurisdictions, European (France, Spain, the UK, Slovenia, Serbia, Greece) as well as extra-European (United States, Argentina).
